Wondering is my transmission temps are too high? Here is the picture: traveling on a level road @ 65mph, cruise control on, empty, air temp@ 75, boost normal and egt normal, I have a massdiesel auto transmission line with temp guage (dipricol) and temp reading about 170. Is this within normal limits?

I believe your in the range of normal. Seems like I read in the manual when you check your fluid, to drive it about 15 miles to get it hot, and then park on a level area, go through each gear ending up in neutral. Pull the stick, that fluid, hot could not be comfortably held between the two fingers. They made the temperature remark of 180*-185*. Don't have my manual here to refer to you might want to check it out in the manual. Oo.

Marc, I have the exact same setup as yours, and also from Massdiesel, except I use Isspro EV gauges. Mine runs about the same as yours... In stop and go traffic for an hour or so, rainy 55 degrees, empty, mine got up to 160...

Thanx everyone for the input. I still think mine are high but it may be where I'm taking temp from. Will monitor it closely especially when towing
