Getting a code P1754 trans throttle accuater valve stuck, my rpm go up to at least 2400 before it shifts is there anyway to clean or check and were I could get it the cheapest my dealer wants 430.00 for just the part. Thanks

Jeremy, That's a manufacturer specific code, can't find it on any of my lists, so I'll take your definition as correct.

Problem is, I do not know what a "trans throttle actuator valve(tv cable connected to valve at trans?)" is? From the dealer price quote, sounds like they could be describing the APPS? But from your description of the issue, sounds like the front band is out of adjustment. A bad governor pressure solenoid and sensor could be causing the same symptom, but the dealer price is too high for those parts also.

I would begin by adjusting the front band, if it is within spec to be adjusted...

What year is your truck? What transmission do you have? You need to fill out your signature in the control panel so we are better able to assist. I may just be tired, but need to figure out what part the P1754 code actually pertains to, any more info you can supply will help.

P1751 - Transmission throttle valve position minimum range performnce
P1754 - Transmission throttle valve actuator stuck

Its the TTVA motor.

You could take it off and make sure it is working and clean the connections but not much else can be done to check it.

Go here, http://moparonlineparts.com/repair-parts.php, inout your year and other info, search for Acutator.

I do not believe I have one of those on my 03...is this the device under the driver's side battery on an 04.5+ truck?

No you do not. The TTVA replaced the throttle valve cable in 05 when they moved the APPS inside the cab.
