I have a 2004 305, I went with DTT torque converter, with their (new) reworked factory dodge valve body. It works great, has a factory fresh dodge valve body that DTT modifies for increased trans pressures.
It also, flows fluid while truck is in park, so extended idle time is no problem.
I have a billet input shaft, accumalator and piston. I really like the firmer shifts and ability to get the power to the ground in a hurry... . No worries with future mods, trans is now bullet proof. Only had 8,000 miles on rig when I did the mods. Not sure why I waited so long?????????
Bill Kondolay builds a damn fine trans... ... ... ... ... Even though a buddy and I did all the work! We spent the weekend to do the trans upgrades. This included taking pre and post trans pressure readings, pulling trans and removing stock crap, install new converter, valve body, billet input shaft, accumalator, piston, reinstall trans, test drive, Oh, we did have (only after all work was completed) a few cold brews while laughing and admiring stock crap removed. The plastic accumalator and piston sure doesn't compare to the high quality billet stuff we installed. Still trying to figure out what to do with the stock input shaft???? Anybody need a cheap billy club??????? Everything else went to the local dump.
Good luck... ... ... .
