transmission upgrade

So i have the Power PDA and i am thinking about getting some Don M 40s or perhaps the DDP 90s not sure yet. I have a stock transmission and i am wanting to upgrade it. I dont do a lot of anything other than the occassional WOT run to race buddy in his titan or my dad in his powerstroke... Would i be ok with just a TC and VB? I dont plan on getting much about about 450-475 HP range Thanks in advance

I also have a 06 with a few goodies and have same questions. AFE box smarty on level 3 . Plan to stay there but would like to know what upgrades to transmission & what order to perform them?? Or , should I bite the bullitt and spend 5 grand on a complete trans from one of the vindors I read about here??

Better call Dave Goerand for a VB and 3D TC. I did.

ok thanks for all the ideas on what transmission... but what i meant to ask is would i be ok with just a TC and VB from some transmission company?

As long as you haven't hammered the transmission you have, and it's fairly low miles, just a TC and VB will work fine. Other guys might say different, but I have 30000 miles on mine, and it's still flawless. However, if you're going to drag race, or sled pull, you will want to do more. For daily driving, and towing, a TC and VB is fine.
