transmission use

I have a automatic transmission out of a 98 V10 and am pondering using it in a diesel conversion whether its with my 4bt or my 354 Perkins from a massey Combine. My questions is will I be able to use that transmission since gas motors have a higher RPM so I'm guessing different shift points. What might I have to change to make it usable. Any thoughts?

the 98 v10 had a 47re which was controlled by the ecm. i am currently useing the same trans in my 96 that came with a v10 and now has a 89 non intercooled ctd. i used a manual valve body shift kit from trans go and now just shift every gaer manually. works great, you will need a different converter but stay away from dacco the one i got from them was crap.
