I lost this tug of war :{

No need for anyone to get uptight over this thread. It's all good.

To defend my transmission and ATS, I did not have the transmission rebuilt when I had the torque converter, VB and commander installed at 69,000 miles. I guess I should have, but hindsight is always 20/20.

From alot of the past "discussion" and "debate", I'm not convinced a rebuild would have mattered much.

But I'm sure your post will get many spirited replies. Sorry for the bad luck. At least it's not a Powerstroke pulling the trailer. :-laf

DISCLAIMER - I have a stick therefore no vested interest in auto rebuilders.

So you do not think places like DTT can build a bullet proof transmission? There seems to be a lot of them running around out there, some with pretty high HP! SNOKING

No, not what I meant.

What I meant, per the original post, is that paying for an ATS full rebuild at the time of VB/TC install may not have made the transmission any more reliable in the long-term. But I won't go into the details of why I believe this may be true. Don't think it was ever about who can hold the HP today, rather keep on holding it tomorrow and the next day. :cool:
