hello everyone, my 94 ctd auto will not shift into od until transmission gets to 100 degrees. which takes about 25 mins on the highway this time of year. which wire do i put in the resistor into so that it will go into od with the transmission being cool. thanks, Lenny

Lenny,

You need to find your trans temp sensor. The resistance you need is 680 Ohms. Go to Radio Shack and buy a little pack of five resistors. Pull the wire off the sensor and push the resistor leads up into the wiring harness. Tape the resistor in place and you should get OD first thing in the morning.

Somewhere I saw a thread that said 1000ohms equals aprox. 100deg. F. Somewhere around that will do it once you pass the threshold for TC lock.
