Had a new transmission installed last yr. It is a ATS transmission i have been very happy with it At my 1st service of it at 15,000 miles I was told by the dealer that it had a lot of shavings in the pan.

called Ats and told them about it and was told to check it again in three weeks. did so and it seemed to be clean. Last week I had it serviced at 30,000 miles and again was told that it had a lot of shavings in the pan Called ATS and was told to keep an eye on it . I pull a 29ft 5th wh with it and a dont want to get out on the rd and have a major break down. Any suggestions?

Hey Bob, how are ya? Sorry I've never made it out to your place yet!

You might want to call Bellflower Trans. and talk to Bob. They are the smartest ATS guys in the L. A. area I think. I believe their number is (562) 867-5240. If anything is wrong with your trans, ATS will stand behind it 100%. Who was the dealer who did your trans service? Too bad they didn't show you what they were calling "shavings".

My first service had some stuff in the pan, I dont really remember if it was metal or not, but it was nothing that worried me, and the 3 services since then have been really clean.
