good evening gentlemen i need to know what is the best way to go on modifing my auto trans. I dont have very much money to spend and it is definetl time for a new transmission. I think that this one is about to go out on me since i am about to put the bigger injectors in that one of ny friends gave to me for some work that i did for him. they are slightly modified 370's

Let me say up front that you get what you pay for and if you want a good one expect to pay a good price for it.

Here are some shops to look at. All three of these shops do the complete transmission including their own torque converters. Talk to them all and choose the one you like.

I chose ATS and am extremely satisfied. They build good stuff and stand behind it.

When it comes to money you need to call these shops and let them explain their prices. That way you can ask the source why they charge what they do. Take the middle man out it will save confusion.

You missed DTT

I have DTT's in both of my trucks and love them.

:D Oo. :)

I had a chance to see my parts up against some other after market parts Friday. My transmission man and I both were impressed at the attention to detail. My first reaction though was that little thingy costs that! Then I thought well if it makes as much difference as a torque plate it will be worth it. Tear down begins Monday. Looking forward to testing it Friday!

Don't understand why you want to hop up engine

when you know the transmission Is weak. Do the trans first. Plus do It right. Before I touch the engine I had the trans upgraded to stand up to the engine beef up down the road. Doing the trans first I even have more power now due to less slipping from the trans.

I am sorry I didn't mean to leave any shop off the list who builds the complete transmission including the torque converter. If you know of another transmission shop that is capable of remanufacturing the complete transmission and torque converter in their shop send me their web sight and I will be happy to edit the list I posted.
