Just came back from a 250 mile trip pulling my 5th. wheel trailer. within 12 miles from home the trans. felt it went into neutrial between drive and overdrive. Anyone have any input? truck is a 2001 with 55,000 miles.
It felt just like the trans. was shifted to neutrial, but the engine didn,t rev up. and it only happened twice. I thought it seemed like the trans. was slipping alittle. fluid level is ok and was serviced about 10,000 miles ago.

If it only happened twice and doesn't do it consistently, it's probably going to be hard to nail down the cause. The best course of action might be to see if you can duplicate it by manually turning the OD on and off, etc.
It could be the 3-4 gear shift valve, the timing valve, or the accumulator malfunctioning internally.
