Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Transmissions

I need to know about how much the transmission in my truck weighs. I am about to change the clutch and I am doing this on my own and want to know what I am up against. If someone can let me know it would be greatly appreciated.

Just a word to the wise, but also account for the fact that it is EXTREMELY awkward.

I did a 700r4, but it ended up requiring me to use a ratchet strap to hold up the tail. That one only weighed about 100 or 120. I'm 185 and bench about 260, but the awkwardness killed me.

I would highly recommend investing in a transmission jack from harbor freight. They're under 100 bucks, and it'll turn out to be well worth it.

its not hard to change one out on your own if A. you have the right tools(transmission jack) and B. Take your time. Its not worth getting hurt becouse your in a hurry. (use the straps and or chains with the jack)
