Trany codes P0822, P0973, and P2709

Just checked my codes and got the listed thread codes. transmission works OK for 92K on it but I have a Banks engine brake and when I switch the brake on at any speed something happens and it does not shift back down, it stays in 3rd. I have to switch the brake off and shut the engine off for 10 seconds then the transmission functions normally. Can I reset the codes without a OBDII tester and see if they come back again without using the Banks brake?:{ Thanks

P0822 Gear Lever Y Pos Circ
P2709 Shift Solenoid F Electrical
P0973 Transmission Overdrive Circuit Voltage Too Low

The only one that makes sense is the P0973, the others are gasser codes. Something is wired wrong or out of date to throw a glitch like that into operation. Better track that down before it hurts something. Did you do a PowerLoc along with the EB?

You have to have a tool capable of resetting the codes. A reader frequently will not work byt try it anyway. You could go to a close auto parts store and see if they would reset them and buy a gallon of oil to make it look good.

No power lock, just the EB. Have talked to Banks three times and they have suggested a few things. I have tested all of the mechanical systems of the EB system along with the ground , power supply and other connections. That kinda leaves the electronics of the EB. Thought it would be good to clear the codes and see if they came back before I get back with them. Until then I am pulling the EB fuse. Thanks, Mike

Although it probably isn't the problem but you need assurance that the torque converter is locked up not sure if that Banks unit is really tasked for doing that well . Sounds like the electronics.
