Just a little rant

And while we slept, an enemy infiltrated...

I need some advise from those that have been there, done that.

My co-pilot and I are planning on a trip down thru Southern California, Arizona and loop back up thru Vegas and go thru Death Valley and back up to Oregon. We will be loaded with a slide in Camper.

We will hit Winnemucca Nv then head to Reno but cut off on 95 down thru Fallon down to the 360 cut off to hwy 6 on over to Bishop and down 395 to San Bernardino and over to Arizona.

Should I be concerned with and mountain passes in the Bishop area or other areas? I have traveled a lot on snow packed and ice roads but give a lot of respect to them. Chains and shovel are always on board.

Recommendations of what to see, where to go, where not to go and what to expect will be appreciated.

We more than likely will be going the first week in January 2002.

Thanks in advance to all. I value your opinions.

Eye on

Keep your eyes on the weather and travel accordingly. If the weather in your path looks bad, take a day off and check out the local scenery. You would be supprized at the difference twenty four hours can make.

Carson City looks good but I am not quite sure I want to do that in January. Will have to see how the road reports are.

Scotties Castle may be hit on the return trip. We visited there last Marcj and really enjoyed it.

We plan on moving and staying depending on the weather and road conditions. Will be nice to see some warmer weather for a little while.
