Regarding the price of an Airstream. We bought ours used when it was about 10 years old for about $22000 and over the years we have refurbished the entire unit to new condition. We have been able to handle much of the work ourselves. The parts that we could not were subcontracted: Upholstery, curtains, bed spread etc. I am very happy with our finished product. The only other thing that I want to do is to have the outside clear coated.

Hey stainless steel or luxury. Stainless may outlast luxury, but go for what you want. I have had no major problems in 10 plus years in a non round non stainless unit. The question you must ask is will I keep this for many years to come.
