Trd Magazine Says 68rfe Has Spin On Filter

#@$%! why in the world is a spin on filter only accessible by dropping the transmission pan? Any why is it they can't install a $5 drain plug from the factory in the pan so it's easier to do without a total mess?

COST!! It might cost an extra $0. 50 to spot weld a back up metal plate inside the pan and another $0. 25 for the drain plug. And the drain plug might be something else that might be left loose at the assembly plant... maybe they should use the same gorilla that tightens the engine oil filter.
