Well, my dumba@% decided to give this Bullydog deal a go today...

I know this is a mild upgrade, but I am THRILLED!

I've only ridden in one bombed truck, and it was mild as well, but I can sure see where this is gonna lead!

OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH..... MARRRRRRRCO... ... ... ... lol

I did the same as you MC and then that night I was ordering my triple dog w/ outlook monitor. The setup is working great for me.

I had them do the temporary download last summer, and hardly noticed anything. I was towing a light trailer through familiar territory and really wasn't impressed. I did notice slightly higher EGTs.

Maybe it wasn't installed right, or they've made some improvements.

Just a word of caution. I have used the bully dog programmer on the 90 HP setting now for just over one year approximately 20k miles. The outlook monitor is total junk don't buy it. Bully Dogs tech support was good for the first time I had trouble, but after they replaced the outlook monitor once, it is now bad again and they will not even return my calls on the problem. The only person I talked to on the second time the monitor went bad told me I would have to buy another one for over $300. 00. It was one month out of the one year warranty but had only been four or maybe 5 months since they replaced the first bad one. I didn't want something for nothing but at least they could have returned the call, and offered a discount on the defective monitor. The performance is great, no problems with the motor or exhaust temps, but my transmission has just now started to shutter when shifting into overdrive. I have programed the truck back to stock and it shifts fine, but I am sure the life of the transmission has been reduced. I will re bomb the truck but probably not with any Bully Dog stuff (due to poor customer service) but I am going to wait untill I have something done to beef up the transmission.

Do you need the Outlook Monitor and the most important question is: What about screwing the warranty? I've always been into stoplight racing and getting more performance out of the CTD would be awesome but not at the expense of the warranty. I don't know much (anything) about computer controlled engines so maybe these units can wipe the computer's ROM if something goes clunk.

If your worried about warranty problems, mods are not for you. Any modification is a potential warrranty problem, even if they don't cause the problem directly. You're at the mercy of the service manager! Sometimes you just gotta say what the %@()!!!!!
