How finicky are you about starting your truck (or even car)? :)

For you guys that like Big Rigs... my buddies are part of a new TV series on CMT starting this Friday, February 3rd @ 8 pm. :D The Trick My Truck crew is made up of Bryan Martin and his crew from Four States Trucks "Chrome Shop Mafia" and Rod and Kevin Pickett from Pickett Custom Trucks. It's all about customizing 18 wheelers - should be a great show. :-laf

Funny, I just read this post and didn't even clue into the fact that it was on right now. Then I started surfing channels and wammo, check out the cool rig.

I just watched 2 of these shows last night. They are cool. Very nice paint jobs and interior work on those big trucks. -Jason

forget the truck's they were working on,,,, I love the black pete the showed up in!!!!!!!

ack

I would take the black or the white Pete they drive up in. I liked the white one.

I wish they would go into more detail, though. They must not do anything to the drive train. I couldn't believe the older guy with the 99 Freightliner. He got out of the new Western Star and said he was ready to get back into "his truck". That Western Star is a nice ride.

I hope it was just the way they did the first show. Sure they made the trucks look good but the guy with the car hauler said his was always breaking down a new paint job isnt going to help that any. Now he will just have a shiny broke down truck.

That's what I was wondering too. At the beginning of the show they showed him with the hood up. Last time I knew, trucks didn't have engine failures because the chrome was rusting.

Talk about polishing turds. I like how they just 'polish' them and do nothing to the engine etc. Like the car hauler that came in, his wife kept talking about how his truck breaks down at least twice a week. They pimp his ride, but nothing to keep it from breaking down. Well at least he'll have a nice looking ride when he's sitting on the side of the road. :-laf

Very Cool Show, Not Enough Detail, They Sure Do Know Haw To Make A Truck Look Good. But Also Wondering What Is Going To Happen The Next Time The Car Hauler Breaks Down. He Might Draw Some More Attention And Maybe Someone Will Stop To Help.

Hey guy's,

I just watced the show! Pretty cool. :D The Pete they roll up in/on is awesome! I've got picture's of it from two years ago when I went to the Great American Truck Show in Louisville Kentucky. It's got all flat/primer paint w/ realistic actuall bullet hole's randomly on the body  . Even the whole windshield is blacked out too! It's got Grass burner's for exhaust underneath it along w/ the black stack's. It has no chrome, just the flat/stainless look. The frame is done in gloss black though! It's a mean looking truck to see and there really was'nt anything special done to it! It was called the Outlaw or something and stood out among truck's with ton's of money because it was so unique. Pretty cool. I really dig that stuff and it's cool that diesel pick up's and semi's are being shown more now day's!

I think they need the show to be an hour. They hardly have any time at all to show what they do. The black and white petes are sweet!! I would agree with the rest of you about the motor. Seems like they fixed the wrong things on the truck. The cover was cool too, but how often do you think he runs without the trailer.

I'd love to find and older model Pete or Autocar and fix it up. I saw an old Mack a few weeks ago that had been refurbished. It had the Maxidyne transmission with the two shifters.
