Question about suspension mod

It's winter and I'm pulling a 38 ft, 5th wheel with my 4. 5 Cummins 3500 dually and I don't like snow. Has anyone gone from Bakersfield, CA east on HWY 58 to four corners then south on 395? Snow and LA traffic are two things I try to bypass. I took HWY 95 (ca) from Needles to Blythe and lost some items in the RV due to the road condition. Appreciate any help.

3500, 4. 5 Cummins dually, boards and flares, Linez, 5th wheel hitch, 11,000 miles.

Great roads, and avoiding LA is prime, but

This time of year, you are very likely to get snow on one or both legs. That is a major trucking route, so Caltrans will try their best to keep them open, but any time you get the rain in the LA area, you are likely getting it up there, and as it is higher, and usually colder, snow... .

Wrong time of year for me to travel there. .

Carry chains. If you wait untill Thur or Friday 1-13/1-14 you shoul'nt have any trouble based on the 10 day forcast I just looked up for you. I would'nt try it before then if you were counting on a fairly clean rig by the time you make to kramer juction (four corners).
