Well, last weekend we decided to make a camping trip out of a conference that my wife had to attend in Banff, Alberta.

Since the stock clutch was starting to let go, it was replaced with a Southbend Con O a couple weeks back.

Now for the test...

5er weighs in at about 10K when we have it fully loaded.

Got 'er up into 4th gear, and put it to the floor.

NO SLIP!!!! Annnnndddddd Theeeyyyyyre off!

This truck did a LOT of towing last summer.

Every time out, this thing pulls stronger and stronger.

Walked past a PHERD (also hauling a 5er about same size) on one of the hills coming out of Banff. :p

Running 275's, EZ box, and AFE air filter, this thing was HAULING!

What an awesome towing engine. It continues to amaze me.

Really got a kick out of the guy at the campsite who showed up in his brand new D-Max doing his first tow ever with it, and opening the hood immediately upon arrival, because he thought something "was broken" Truck runs so strong empty... ... huh... imagine that! :p

I don't know how many of you tow, but seriously, if you don't FIND A TRAILER and hook 'er up..... this engine SERIOUSLY likes to work HARD...

Since the very first pull two years ago, the fuel mileage has increased by about 25-30% (post bombing of course)!

Did I mention this is one awesome power plant? :D

Shaun, i agree! If yo dont tow you dont know what it will really do. I tow a 10-11K horse trailer and I pass fords chevys cars and everthing else as the watch me pass amazed! It is really fun. Enjoy, Dave:)
