Finally got time to drop into the dealer yesterday. Problems are the well known clock spring problem in the steering wheel, an uncomfortable drivers seat and a rattle from hell under the bed. Not too bad for 8,500 miles.
I expected an easy fix to the steering wheel, denial on the seat and finger pointing at my bilsteen shocks for the rattle.
They kept the truck an extra day - clock spring replaced, steering wheel noise unchanged.
They wanted to keep the truck longer, but I need it too bad, so I picked it up today. They have ordered a new steering column. Say the seat is the same as new trucks, had me sit in a new truck and I told them there was a definite difference which seemed to shock them, and said I sure had a hell of a rattle but they couldn't find where it was coming from.
I'll be gone for a couple of weeks so will continue this saga when I get back. I love the truck, my 3rd, but have to question my sanity when I deal with their service.
