Does anyone have the triple dash pod that Geno's sells? I have two questions.

1. Does the Pod have to be mounted in the center of the dash or can it be off set towards the drivers side? (In Virginia, we have our inspection stickers in the bottom center of the windshield. )

2. How do you route the wires and fuel hose? Do you need to make a hole in the top of the dash? I hope not!

Thanks in advance.

Mine is in the center. I'm not sure if it would fit between the vents on the drivers side. It fits right up to the vent openings in the center. Measure the distance between the vent openings in the center. If the drivers side is the same or larger, you should be OK. You may have to do a little sanding to make the profile right.

I put a hole in the dash. Couldn't figure any other way to do it.

Mine is mounted on the driver's side between the two vents. Lines and wires were run through the speaker holes, down the fire wall, and out through the hole behind the clutch pedal. I suspect a Laramie would be more difficult due to the speakers.

Thanks for the replies. It seems like the only viable place is the dash center without more modification and I really don't like the idea of drilling a hole in the dash. I'm going with the A-Pillar mount.

Thanks again for the info!

RMRC, I installed the a pillar just recently it was an auto meter , I installed isspro guages in it . things i discoverd while making it fit and if i were to do it again would be, instead of drilling holes in your original cover to accomodate the wires , remove lots of the plastic but keep enough to maintain the shape of the original. I placed the original on the bottom new one on top clamped the two together drilled the holes took them apart and drilled large holes for wires to pass thru wish i had made them bigger, cut the mini speaker out with a hi speed wheel put the two pieces back together and installed the plastic rivits. I have an auto 02 and may be a little different than your truck. I also got tired of trying to fish wires thru existing harness inlets in the firewall so i popped a plug out that had nothing running thru it placed it on the bench and punched a 3/8 in hole in it. also when running wires i could not find a hole beneath the pillar and the fuse box to make a real clean pass thru so i think the wires will need to pass over the metal housing and into the fuse box. i was able to put cable tubing over the wires to prevent any chafing where it passes over the fuse box lip. It was a real adventure but turned out to be a fun project I guess i like pain . good luck and if i can be of help please just ask. Ken

Thanks for the tips Southpaw. I'll let you know how the installation progresses. It will be some time before I order my gauges but I'll be altering the A-Pillar in advance.
