Oil Consumption on New 8.1

I just added a 30 gallon Transfer Flow fue tank tool box combo to my truck. Here is how my reasoning goes. Living in the rural west I have a self imposed rule of never letting myself get below a 17 gallon cushion of fuel especially when off road. Because my truck only has a 34 gallon tank that means I only had 17 gallons of usable fuel. Since adding the 30 gallon aux tank I now have 47 usable gallons without dipping into my fuel reserves. Way cool!!

Good job Sage

Now plumb it in to your lift pump to give it a possitive head pressure instead of a vaccumn, then use your oem tank to transfer via a small frame mount pump up to your aux tank... ... ... ..... your lift pump will love it... ... . Kevin

I'm getting a 98 gal. transferflow put in tomorrow. How do you like yours? I can't wait 132gal. on board!

Hey, Kimrey!

What a trip you'll be able to do!

132 gallons, truck only, 20mpg = 2640 miles.

That's non-stop to Los Angeles from Marshville (if you have a big bladder)!!

I really like my aux fuel tank. Went to West Texas last weekend on a hog hunt. 771 miles round trip, I did not have to stop for fuel. Cost on the road was 1. 39 I filled up at home for 1. 30. To me this justifies the cost of the extra tank.

Yep, I believe you when you say you didn't have to fill up... bet ya'll had to stop for something else though :D

Piggie in the freezer???
