About a week ago I started having problems getting the truck into first and into reverse when stopped. By difficulty I mean I somtimes have to apply a lot of force to get it into reverse or first. I checked the fluid levels they all checked out. Could it be a clutch adjustment issue? the truck has 70,000 miles on her. She sees mostly highway miles. I ask about the clutch cause if the truck isn't running she shifts in first with no problems.

Not sure if you which Manual you have, but I recall seeing a TSB on reverse syncros on the G56 on this site. Something about it popping our of reverse or something? I tried a quick search but did not find anything.

Just keep in mind you have a 75K power train warrantee which I would think would cover this (if your not bombed). At 70K miles, your running out of time quick!

I sometimes have problems shifting into reverse as well. I literally cannot force it to go into reverse. I just keep the clutch pressed in, go into another gear, then try reverse again until it goes. It doesn't grind or anything, it simply won't go into gear. Anyone have any ideas?

my nv5600 has been grinding for some time now when trying to get into reverse. I shift into 1st before reverse and it goes in smooth.
