Archived trouble starting

I am having trouble starting. Sometimes when i turn the key to start i get nothing, no click, no turn, no nothing. After turning the key to off and then back to start it usually starts. One time after starting, the starter continued to be engaged and turn until i turned the motor off. I am thinking that the starter solenoid is giving up. Anyone have any ideas. Could this be a faulty switch on the clutch or a fuel solenoid.

Sounds to me like the starter contacts might be sticking. There's a kit to replace the contacts and plunger for about $30. 00.
