Opinion on eBay Transaction gone bad...

Think im in love....

My '01 Impala has 4 wheel disc brakes and has been plauged with a pulse that you can feel thru the pedal. It also makes excessive ''grinding ''noise depending on how much pedal you give it. The front brakes and rotors were switched out and did not help the problem. I am wondering if this is an ABS problem or front or rear problem and any ideas on how to diagnose it. Tires were switched last week with brand new on front and old on back and still the same problem. I am thinking about jacking up the front and driving the wheels --then applying the brakes to see if it is on one end of the car. Any other suggestions?

We bought our '00 GMC Jimmy from a family member three years ago with less than 8,000 miles on it. It had a pulsing in the brake pedal when using the brakes. I took it back to the selling dealer and had them check out. They found a warped rotor on the rear axle. They turned both rotors on the rear. (Fixed it under warranty! ) The pulsing in the brake pedal has never returned with nearly 30,000 miles on the vehicle.

Problem fixed yet ?

You probably need a new set of pads, front and rear, have the rotors turned on the vehicle with an on-vehicle brake lathe.

Do you feel the pulsation in the brake pedal or in the whole car ?

Daughter graduates today and party is tomorrow. I will look at rear first and then very carefully test the car with front tires off the ground. Daughter just ran at regional track meet last night and she is going to state in FOUR events! Oo.

I know what it is like to offer help on these forums and not get a response back,so i promise I will get on it as soon as possible. Thanks for the help.

Rear rotors were trashed ,but only on the back side. Corrosion had left very deep pitting over 30% of surface. I put on new rotors and pads[Bendix]] on rear and problem is solved. BTW Lady jets track team made it to two state finals 7th and 8th place finish with a disappointing baton drop, and heat exhaustion in the last event . However ,my daughter managed to close out her high school career with her best quarter mile ever at 56. 82 seconds. She could not get out of the statium with so many college coaches wanting to talk to her
