Hi, has anyone else had this problem? Sometimes when I go to start my truck it acts like the key system dosen't want to kick in the starter. It has done this a few times. Where would you say to start looking for the problem. Batterys are in good shape.

Thanks

Sounds like the contacts inside the starter are going out. It's a pretty easy fix once you get the starter out, the mounting bolts are real tight from the factory. Get a set of new contacts from Larry B.

Those guys are right, replace the starter contacts. However, my truck will also do the same thing from time to time when I drive through a lot of snow. Moisture must get into the starter solenoid and cause it not work properly until the moisture is dried out. I replaced the starter contacts on my truck not too long ago, so I know they are good. The snow theory is all I can come up with. It never bothers any other time.
