Does anyone know what our bed weighs? I am thinking of replacing it with a flat bed that weighs ~780 pounds. But I would like to know how this compares to a factory long bed SRW truck.

Any response appreciated.

Thanks

My brother-in-law and I picked up and removed the bed off my truck. If I had to guess I'd say 350lbs. and more akward than heavy. Flatbeds are better.

I don't know if you're trying to gain or lose weight, but when I put a steel flatbed on mine, it weighed 600lbs more than the dually box did. And that's just wide enough to cover single 305/70/16's

I wouldn't mind adding a little weight, just didn't want it to be ridiculous. Someone told me that the beds weigh in the 450 range and if this is true, another 300 pounds would"nt bother me. :)

It rides much better with a little extra weight anyway. I put a flat on my truck as the original bed had an excessive # of dents. It doesn't have a heavy spring pack on the rear and no overload springs but it didn't sit down far.
