Slide in camper weight

Any recomendations for a louvered tailgate?

Looking to buy our first camper. Has anyone put a alpenlite on a 2500 shortbox? Do I need airbags, shocks, sway bar, etc??? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The biggest issue is that D/C's official policy is not recommended for a slide in camper If you were to have any related issues it could get complicated :(

There should be a piece of paper inside the glove box about using campers. I did check out an 06 QC 3500 SRW 2wd truck, it had the paper that said it allowed a 1956lb camper.

The 06's must have changed the frames. No campers allowed on any 05 3/4 or 3500 per DC.

Yeah, that's the policy according to Richard Bowman a stand-up fleet manager w/Dishman Dodge. He leads seminars for sales staff to question potential srw buyers as to their needs. If they say"slide-in' they are instructed to say"you're on your own" as far as potential warranty claims go. I assume he means frame damage, bed damage etc. I don't see how they could justify driveline, suspension claims as long as you were within GVW. ratings. I can't say enough in support for Richard as far as special orders go. $1,000 back of invoice including Ca vehicles is great! My neighbor got picked up from the airport and everything went smooth. He's got 14,000 miles on the new rig and just returned from his 3rd Baja trip w/mucho pemex and all OK so far. The 3rd's sure drive nice!

My Shadow Cruser is within this number. Its around 9' long.
