The online Truck Camper Magazine has an excellent article about the new RAM and why TCM chose it for their new upcoming camper that they will be featuring soon. It also has an amusing explanation of why the new RAM with the snow plow prep is not recommended for a slide in camper. They contacted corporate for a reason behind the warning. Here is the link:

Thanks for the link. Interesting... he discovered what I already knew, the superior load carrying capacity of '13/'14 Ram 3500 dually trucks.

I don't go to the TCM site very often since the articles don't interest me and seem to be a bit, shall we say, "juvenile".;)

A dubious article at best........:-laf He readily admits his distaste for diesels, and brags about the fictitious mpg numbers from the evic instead of actual hand calculated numbers........

Boring..........yawn

Perfect truck for them them and many others, if you are not towing, the diesel does not make sense at all. Spend 10K plus to get what, a couple MPG, maybe? Then offset it with more expensive oil changes and fuel filters.

I'll looking at a 6.4 Hemi 3500 CC SRW for my daily driver right now :) My TC will stay on my dually.

When was the last time you all drove a modern truck with the new 6.4 Hemi or the Ford/GM bigger gas motors? You might be surprised.

Agreed. My 2000 Class C has the Ford V-10. Can barely get to 70 and gets 7-8 mpg. The new 2014 class C with the Ford V-10 has almost another 100 hp, scoots right along and gets 13 mpg. Gas has come a long way in the last few years. I'm still not going to give up my diesel for it though.
