I am looking for a hard side truck camper to fit my long bed '98 2500. I am trying to keep it under 3,000 lbs. loaded. Something in the size range of a Lance 850, Bigfoot 2500, or equivalent. Thank you

Northern Lite is the best truck camper made. Five star rated according to RV Consumer Group. Lance, Arctic Fox and a few others are 4 star rated.

I have also been looking at Northern lites. They are also on the top of my list. JVojir, I would be very interested in your camper. The only problem I can think of is that you are in Washington state, and I am in Florida. I am willing to travel, but that may be a little far. I would not rule it out though. How much are you asking? What Year? If it will not work for me, someone closer may be interested.

BTW, I did look at an Arctic Fox. It appeared to be awesome, but it was massive, with a large slide. They are known to be heavy though. I didn't buy it because it had major water damage, and they wanted a fortune.

Thank you both for your replies.

Are you still in the market for that Lance Camper? I have an LC480 9.6, 1988 model in very nice shape. It has a/c and 12 volt swamp cooling. Everything works, and I just had it back at the Lance factory for a checkup and some sprucing up a couple of months ago. I carry it on a 95 Ram 2500 4x2 12v with standard Firestone airbag assist. I believe it's about 2300 lbs. dry. If interested, I believe we could make a northern CA vacation worth your while. We are 4'hours north of Reno on US Hwy 395. You can contact me at -- email address removed -- to answer any questions. I can also send pics. Deanna

Thank you so much for the offer. We found a Lance 950 a couple hundred miles away. Ithe is a little big and more expensive than I wanted, but I believe it will work. I hope you sell yours soon. Thank you very much.

Hi JMcCoy, was it the Arctic Fox 990 in Melbourne FL you saw ?

Not too many AF's here in FL, I sold mine and was wondering if you were one who may have looked at it. I do regret selling it. Hopefully I'll get another TC one day to go back on my 3500.
