Anyone have problems with FCA or FPS ?

Will an 04.5 Juice work on an 06?

Whenever I am slowing down and push in the clutch, my idle drops to about 550 rpm then shoots up to about 850 rpm, then down to 5 again. It bounces up and down for a couple of seconds and then rests at about 7-800 rpm. Does anybody elses truck do this or do I need to take this thing to the dealer. It has been doing it for quite some time, but is starting to get on my nerves and I want to make sure this is not indicating that there is a problem somewhere. Thanks...

That is completely normal. It's been discussed before. On mine the only time it hunts like that is when you take it out of gear and then hit the brakes immediately. Mine only drops down to 550 once and then stabilizes about 800-850 RPM until the truck comes to a stop if you give it a second to stabilize before hitting the brakes, otherwise it seems to hunt until stopping. I have yet to see a flash that specifically calls out a fix for this, and many others seem to have the same thing, so for now it's normal...

Just figured I'd apologize because on further review of my last post I didn't appear particularly polite, and that's not how I wanted to come across...

On a side note, if you wouldn't mind trying to just slip it out of gear and letting it stabilize for a moment before the application of brake. I'm thinking you'll end up with the same results I do (no hunting). I'm curious if that works on yours too, although I suspect it may...

it doesn't seem to hunt for idle below 10 or 15mph... try downshifting to 3rd when coming to a stop and at around 1000rpm or so then go into neutral... your speed should be low enough to limit/eleminate the hunting...

but it is normal. . [mine does it too, but i don't watch the tach too often]

The ECM get's confused trying to settle in to an idle while still receiving input from the speed sensor, simply put.

This has been discussed allot over the past.

Completely normal!!!!! ;)
