Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) truck coughs out some white smoke in the morning

it has been cold in south florida low 30's the truck puffs out some white smoke on first start up it clears up quick like 2 or 3 sec this is a florida cummins with 180k on it

it starts rite up with on proublem

but is the puff of white smoke#@$%!

Yep mine will blow white smoke for about a mile if it is really cold (like zero).

unburned fuel,normal in cold temperatures until engine temp get up.

Cummins motors cough and hack for a few seconds in the cold then with one last mighty cough will idle smooth. Every Cummins I have ever been around does it when its cold. White smoke is cold unburned fuel.
