My truck (2002 HO 6 speed, 76,080 miles, edge ez) will take 10-15 seconds to start. only does this once in a while and fuel psi is ok. Took to dealer, they told me fuel filter needed replacement, changed , still does it. I also smell fuel, can't locate where its coming from, on the top of head I can see where it pools around low spots. ( dealer can't find fuel leak either) I have no power problems, when truck starts it runs fine.

I am in no way as intimate with the 24v engines as I am with my old VE powered 1st Gen, but it sounds like your fuel leak may be a low pressure side leak that after it sits, allows air into the system. I'd bet once you found and fixed your leak, your problem would go away.

Agree w/dpuckett. Sounds like you're loosing prime somewhere. More than likely it's close to where the fuel is "pooling". Possibly a hairline or nick on an injector seal that reseals upon high pressure and after shutdown as pressure subsides it opens and allows air to infiltrate.

Just a guess based on your description of the pooling. My $0. 02

Check the banjo bolts on LP, mine were fairly loose when I changed mine. Have you changed the filter recently? O-ring may be leaking. Ditto the others, sounds like an air leak in fuel system

I believe the fuel leak only happens when truck is under a load (possible high psi injection line leak, I've narrowed it down to #5 or 6 line. Could the crank postion sensor cause the no start problem?
