Hello everybody,
I have a few ?'s for you guys out there. I recently posted a topic on trying to track down a engine vibration. Thanks to all that posted their suggestions. I have put in a new fuel filter, checked the air filter, and cleaned the prefilter. None of the three were dirty at all and to make it short:
It still vibrates badly from about 1800 rpms on up and its especially bad under heavy loads.
The other day I was reving the motor to see if I could hear anything at a stand still. And sure enough if I mash the accelerator the engine starts stumbling and vibrations begin about 1800rpms. The exhaust note starts a popping sound. But the stumble is not present w/ driving the truck, just the vibration.
What do you guys think? Injectors, pump timing, lazy valve? I'm trying to narrow my options b/c I am a shadetree mechanic w/ limited time, but I will take it to a fuel shop if need be.
What do you all think?
