Archived truck dead

truck was running good recently (aug 08) had transfer pump moved into tank filled up with diesel pulled out want about 200 yds and started shaking bad and died cranked but no fire fuel in filter canister could hear pump running in tank had towed to dealer. Any ideas what it could be

It could be half a dozen different possibilities...

Air leak in fuel line at one of the connectors?
Fuel line restriction?
Clogged fuel filter?
New lift pump not creating pressure (yes... even a new one can be bad)?
Damaged VP44 fuel injection pump due to lack of fuel supply pressure?
An electrical problem with the VP44?
