:{ After searching through the "911 archive" I am now certain that the VP44 is a gonner. I did find an upgraded Bosch VP44 from Blue Chip so I'm going to order it this a. m. along with a Low Fuel pressure warning kit. I,m also ordering a new FASS pump to replace the faulty LP.
The worst thing about all of this was that I new time was running short on upgrading the lift pump, but didn't have the funds. Now the whole thing is going to cost me a lot more.
Now the question is how hard is it to replace? Any special tools?
I got an upgraded VP44 injector pump from Blue Chip and a FASS High Performance lift pump. The truck is running but there seems to be more smoke than usual. Is the VP44 pump for a standard ISB the same as an ISB HO?

Differences exist between the ETC's pump (standard) and ETH (HO) pump.
DD also offers a upgraded pump, no sure what the voodoo is, but likely flows more fuel since one of their sites touts hp increase, so maybe there's your extra smoke (extra fueling).
