Well first of all im running 155 horse injectors with an edge comp and bd twins, i left my house earlier and hammered it with the box on 5x5 just because its fun..... and when i got to the stop sign at the end of the road the rpms jumped a couple times and then it went dead. it was similar to what it does when it runs out of fuel. i opened the drain on the fuel filter and hit the key and i had fuel to there so i was wondering if perhaps its the injection pump, its the original one and has 95k on it, any info would be appreciated

thanks

Abrupt lifting of the pedal

Abrupt lifting of the throttle pedal with lots of boost will often cause the injectors to run dry on fuel.

I can't really explain it, but it happens. So far for me only with trucks runing twins, but I've heard of it with lots of boost with a single.

As suggested above, bleed a few lines and it will fire back up. You have to learn to gently back off the throttle, just an extra second or so, just don't go from pedal to the metal to fully off, let the boost start to drop as you let off.

Hope this helps Greg L

Yeah this condition isnt talked about much anymore but used to be more common with the twins crowd.

I personally seen it happen to 2 different twinned trucks, one I was riding in at the time.

Opening a couple lines brought it back to life.
