To give you some background. I own a '01 2500 4x4 auto pretty much stock except for a K&N Filter and a Banks Big Hoss chip. The truck has 130k on it and is primarily used to get me to work and back. I put 27k miles on it last year just for that purpose. Yesterday, while on the freeway (75-85mph) the engine stumbled and died. The only way I could restart it was to hold the accelerator to the floor. otherwise nothing. I changed the fuel filter at the next exit. The old one looked pretty clean but changed it anyways. When I got home, I noticed that the familiar sound of a lift pump(?) was not present before startup. I am assuming that that is the problem. I do not know if it is an actual bad pump or if it is not getting any voltage. Any suggestions or If my assumptions sound wrong, please help.
