So does your truck go to idle when the clutch is pushed in and die? or dies when the clutch is pushed in? If you have have a cummins dealer around ask for bulletin No. 366648_ the last number will be one more than the year of your truck. Do believe that they are all the same. If you have access to a multi-meter measure the resisance on pins (5/3, 5/4 ) and ( 1/2 ,1/6 ) the bulliten says that the contact resisitance should be less than 125 ohms. but of coarse this seems to be (I am told that this is incorrect for the do_g_ because of a difference circuit). With the electronics in the APPS there is a difference? Should read the cummins service manual on trouble shooting this subject it makes for some intersting reading. Don't know why we should have to know more than the ( pic/ mec's) to fix our trucks. Buy Cat power!
When the clucth is pushed in and the truck is traveling 35 to 40 MPH the truck dies. When the truck is going between 1300 and 1400 and the clucth is pushed in the engine bobbles say 650 to 1050, 750 to 950, 800 to 900, and then settles around 835. Other than this the truck runs fine. This is my dads truck so no gauges.
