I think the vehicles have to be totaled or damn near to show up on Carfax reports. I purchased a 3 month "membership" to carfax awhile ago. I used VIN numbers off of every one of my friends vehicles. Some of them I new had been wrecked but nothing showed up on carfax.



That carfax crap is decieving also. I used the free part of it with my trucks VIN#. . they said it had one major activity. I freaked and paid the $20 to see what is was. Turned out the title had changed names!! I paid $20 to figure out that i bought my truck lol.

Carfax is useless

Don't place much weight on a carfax report, it does not list minor accidents. I too spent the money for a subscription to provide a report to prospective buyers of a vehicle I was selling. When I got the report it showed the truck as GAINING 20,000 miles in one year with a huge warning saying the odometer had been tampered with. I've never heard of anyone tampering with a odometer to add mileage. I was the the original purchaser of this vehicle so the mileage had never been reported since I bought the truck new in 1994 not to mention, I've never put more than 7,500 miles on a vehicle in a year. Also, another check of a vehicle I own does not show a minor fender bender ($1500 of front end damage to the sheet metal and grill). I'll never pay for a carfax report again.

I wonder where Carfax gets the data that it is selling as "gospel" at $20. 00 a crack?



I also fell for the "One Major Activity" scam, and paid $20 to find out that my truck had been titled in my name.



Just curious how many others internet-wide have dropped money into the Carfax CEO's "Christmas Fund" via this B. S. ?

Personally, I REEEEaly miss my old '93, which was the same as the white one you are looking at, except it was black and silver. I think the big flat floor in the back is much more convenient than the useless no-legroom little bench in the '99. Then again, I don't have 3 kids, just one large dog. I'd miss the QC doors, but it would only be a minor inconvenience! Well????

It's not wrecked, not rusty, not beat. It's not perfect, but runs ok, looks ok, is nice inside.



So... should I spring for 6800 or not? The stubborn ornery finn in me never likes to pay asking price. But he will NOT budge.
