Well just got done fueling when a 3 ton delivery truck decided it would be a good thing to remodel the front end of my truck.

Didn't hear my horn and I couldn't back up any further, his right back corner when through the bumper, radiator and the transmission cooler. Won't see my truck for a couple weeks. I guess some people think looking in the mirror when backing up is over rated:mad:

Only thing worse is comming out of a store and finding the same damage and no one around who saw it happen. As sad as it is at least be thankfull you saw it happen and have recourse about who pays for the damage.

Sorry to hear about your truck.

If someone did that to mine I would want to kick the crap out of them.

How fast was he going to go through the bumper?

Sounds like a good reason for a new large bumper and very loud air horns.

Bill

Bill,

I was steamin' alright, got tempted by my Glock for a split second;) ! The guy was real nice though and apologized(sp?) right away saying sorry he F****ed up.

Wife said it wasn't suprising he didn't hear the p***y horn on my truck, sounds like the go ahead for air horns to me!:D :D Can't afford the bumper though, whish I could.

That Sucks

I too had an "incident" yesterday...

It happened on a 4 lane. I was in the right lane, a lady in a stopped line of traffic in the left lane decided to get into the right lane... right on top of me. So, as soon as I hit my brakes and swerved right, my front bumper took out her passenger front door, b-pillar, passenger rear door, quarter panel, and her tail light, in that order. I was able to stop before her.

At any rate, the cop said it was her fault (YES!). I'd guess there was probably $3K-4K worth of damage to her BMW 3-series station wagon.

To my truck? $3 for a can of Krylon Satin Black. I LOVE my MP Motorsports bumpers!! Had I had the stock front bumper, it would have been toast.

Duane

Here's what ya do Glenn.

Have the body shop put a heavy duty bumper on it. Most of the time it's cheaper than the factory bumper and all the plastic stuff you have to buy to go on it. Most shops won't have a problem with that.

My rear bumper took a hit from a Chevy Tahoe a few weeks ago. Looked like about $200 worth of damage to her truck. None to mine.

Uh Duane, more like $10K plus for repairs to a Bimmer if you creased the bodywork all the way from the front passenger door to her taillight  I put a teeny weeny 2" dent in a Jetta last winter that cost $911!
