I think my truck is cursed. Two months ago got backed up into the front end, 3K dammages, got a Ranch hand replacement front end out of it. 2 weeks ago, box flies off a semi takes the drivers side mirror off. And now tonight... ... ... ... ... .....

Coming back from a TX Rangers game, traffic bottles up on I-30 so I stop, lady behind me doesn't. Rear ends me, crumples the bumper then she hits the class V hitch... ... ... ... her front end is now about 2 feet shorter than it used to be and her hood looks like this... /\/\/\/\..... and she needs a tow real bad.

Everybody's OK, she had 2 small kids in the car and her husband, he had to much beer at the ball game so she was driving. My wife has a sore neck and a sore shoulder but she'll be OK, so is my buddy that was with us.

This is getting REALLY annoying hope I can catch a freaking break, I'm tired of dealing with insurance companies and body shops. Truck is not beat up tooo bad a new hitch 7 pin plug and box, new bumper and I won't know the difference. I guess it's time for a Ranch Hand rear bumber:D since her insurance is paying..... maybe there is a silver linning after allOo. :D :D

Sorry for ther rant, I needed to vent.

Look at the bright side, how bad could you all have been if you weren't in your truck?

Sorry to hear about your bad luck though. :(

Andrew

Man, you must have parked too close to Okie one day. :)

Actually, I think its the color. I had a 1/2 ton gasser in the same green color as your truck. When I traded it in, it had over $13,000 in body repairs in only 2 years and 2 wrecks.

Yep. slap a big ol Ranchhand on the rear and keep on truckin. Then sell the hitch on the truck since your RanchHand should have one built into it. :)

One more thing, remind me not to ride in your truck. ;)

From all the stories I've heard in the past week I got affraid I would be next. So I took my fancy Ram's head brake light out and put my reciever back in, but took my interchangeable ball off before somebody else did. :D

After reading some of the posts regarding being rear-ended lately, I put my ball-hitch in mine, upside down and used a padlock in the pin to keep it there. Just have to be a little more careful when backing into parking places with cars parked behind me.

RanchHand

Sorry to hear about your troubles BFC. From past experience the Ranch Hand is the way to go. I have had 4 since putting on the Ranchhand. My damage has been cosmetic and thiers had been the crumpled and need a tow type. When I had my previous truck, rhymes with turd, I had a receiver hitch. Managed to punch a hole in 2 radiators. I feel your pain. These crazy DFW drivers.

Good Luck,

Jeff

BFC,

I feel your pain. Litterly! I was hit last month almost a year after being hit last spring. I ordered a Reunel Mfrg rear bumber. 3/8" thick. Yeah, baby! Neither car that hit me drove away. The hitch does do a wonderful job on the offender. The stock bumper is worthless. Does little more than fold out of the way and damage the lower quarter panels.

You have had a bad string of luck though.

Tom

I understand how you feel. I live in the country but traffic gets bad when deer want to cross the road I hit my second deer in 3 months tuesday morning. I guess my insurance company will be buying a Ranch Hand front now along with about 5k worth of other repairs
