Gas Turbines out of old Turbos...

Where did he go??

I was notified today that the truck had been recovered friday sometime (they waited till today to rape me with towing and storage fees). Here is the list of damages and observations about the truck:

Dents down the passenger side.

Front end is shot.

Back bumper is dented in.

My mallory pump is burned up, won't even trickle fuel.

The injection pump seems to be shot as well.

Emergency Brake release handle completely ripped off.

Drivers side quad window busted and ripped off.

my two child seats are gone.

My gauge pod had been ripped off where they tried to steal the gauges.

They pulled the changer cartridge out of the 10disc player, riffled through the CD's (Pop, Rock and Metal, leaving all of them) and didn't take either.

Steering has a ton more play in it than before it was taken.

Back brakes are ruined where they left the e-brake on.

Tires look like they had been bounced off the curbs quite a bit.

They put about 200 miles on my truck, trashing it, and actually had the stereo playing music from the Rap station so the speakers and stereo are going to have to be replaced.

I'll post pics up as soon as I can get some batteries for the digital camera.

Morph.

Sounds like the recovery is a mixed blessing:(

Hope your Insurance Company Claims adjuster is not a total schmuck and you get your truck back into pre-theft shape.

Are the local Law Enforcement types going to continue to try to find the perps?

Good thing you didn't catch them at it. I'd be in prison for poking . 45 cal holes in their heads.

Sometimes it's better not to get it back, huh?

Hope it all works out.

Golly... it's too bad that after you get it all fixed up and it's not up to 'like-new' condition, that the adjuster failed to notice that bad fuel line and the truck burned to the ground! ... guess you'll just have to take the cash and buy a new one!:D

Bummer....

Too bad you didn't catch those *******s! It sounds like your truck is not totalled. In situations like that, you almost wish that it was never found, or it was found damaged beyond repair... I would have a hard time driving the truck after imagining what it had been through with those idiots. #@$%! #@$%!

Good luck, hope things work out ok. ;)

Morph, glad to hear you got it back!

It's too bad that you and your buddies didn't get a chance to work those punks over:mad:

I would be pi$$ed off something serious too!

What you gonna do now?Get it repaired or look for something else?Hope your insurance company does you good on the truck and the four wheeler.

Let us know how it turns out OK?

That would be to fast. Aim low first. Start at ground level to start. You can't rush into things like this. If you would need more ammo hit me with a PM.

I am sorry to hear what the low lifes did to your truck. I hope that they tried to get finger prints off the truck.

Don't let the adjuster jerk you around. Stand firm on what you want your truck to be like when it is repaired. The adjuster does not work for you. So he will try to cut corners as much as he can.

Did they use it to break into something, with that bed out of whack and the bumper it looks like they might have tried pulling on something. Un believable, if you can't get the adjuster to really make it right, maybe should trade it off. That would **** me off to no end. Would you have rather not got it back??

It saddens me that there are people out there that would do such a thing. :(

I really hope you will be fully compensated! It would suck to be scr*wed on both ends of that deal.

I am absolutley sick to my stomach, and it is not my truck:{

I feel for you man... Did anybody says is was open season on these punks:mad:

that sucks

 if you find them i have 6 dogs that need a little exercise. or would all most be fun to tie them up and put in fire ant pile. real sorry to see that happen to any one. good luck to you and your family.

Makes me sick, seeing that. I truly hope you don't get your hands on those anal retentives. Personally, they should be shot, just because they are breathing other people's air. Then again, you could try to play "bumper tag" with them. A bumper sticker I saw many years ago pretty much says it all - "If you value your life as much as I value my truck, don't *%%# with it. "

I think it is better that you did get it back. Ins. would only give you blue book value, which is a lot less than it would cost to replace. I know it looks bad but all that can be fixed to where no one could even tell it was damaged. If my truck was ever stolen and not recovered I would be paid 25,000 if I am lucky. I have over twice that into the truck, but because of miles, 150,000, the book value is low. Now if my truck was stolen and stripped then recovered, then it would be fixed back to they way it was before.

Sunday night I came across four male "kids" driving along the river, off road, in a Toyota 4 door. They were driving as fast as that car could, hitting bumps, hills and going air born. After a couple of hours the car quit running. The kids then rammed the car with a F-250, threw rocks and busted out the windows before driving off in the truck. Within a minute or two the car burst into flames. I called the dispatch center twice, first when I saw what they were doing. The second time, after the fire, they did send someone. Never did find out if it was stolen or not.

Don't expect alot from the cops. They will figure that you got your rig back and that is your problem now.

Had some kids drive by my house one night and shot up my van and house with a pellet rifle. Didn't catch them. They put dents in my garage door with the pellets and over the front entry door. The cops said owell it was only a pellet gun! I said a gun is a gun, they could of had a AK 47. They blew me off.

Get an open ended estimate and fine tooth comb your truck. Take it to the BEST and most expensive body and frontend shops and you should end up with a little extra to fix the things that they missed. GOOD LUCK, Chris

Morphious,

Looking at the pictures make me feel sick, I can't imagine how bad you feel. I wish we could find whoever did it. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help legal or not...

I'm now worried about my truck. I installing an alarm, but worry it may not be enough...

I you can answer some questions I'd be grateful

1) How did they get around the steering lock?

2) how did they get the engine to run?

I ask so I can maybe use the info to make my Ram secure from scum like the ones who took yours.

Hang in there amigo, it has to get better from here.
