Help,

Any ideas are appreciated. twice yesterday on the way out of town the truck just died. I'm not talking about a loss of power or the engine stalling, it appears to be a complete loss of electrical power. I'm driving along when all of a sudden it's like someone pulled the plug! No dash lights. I put the truck in neutral and cycled the key off and then on again and it starts as though nothing has happened. The first time it did this, I was on my way through an intersection and I just about got nailed by an 18 wheeler! The truck did this once before several months ago, and the thought was that perhaps there was some RF interference with the computer, but this time I was in two locations several hundred miles apart so I don't think that is a possibility. I left my wife with the truck (and trailer) in another town and she is going to attempt to return with it tomorrow:eek:

She is a wonderful and capable woman, but I have to take a bottle of Mallox whenever she drives the truck and trailer at the best of times! I sure hope the truck doesn't do this thing with her at an inopportune time.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds as If the cable underneath the Power DIstribution Center has come loose and has actually come under attention with D/C as a TSB has been released for this being a potential fire hazard.

Worth checking out at the very least.

Truck quits?

Sounds like the ignition switch is going out as the dash lights went out to and switching on and off got things going . Look for loose wire or just a faulty switch (test with meter ) or swap out to test . Hope you find out what it is . Ron Bissett in LOUISVILLE KY
