Went out this morning to start the truck before I left for work. Overhead said it was 9 degrees. Truck started fine ran about 30 seconds and stalled. Started it up again no problems ran 15 seconds and stalled, Tried one more time bringing the RPMS up to 1300 and it ran 15 seconds and died. Figured for the hell of it I would drain the filter. Did that, cycled the key twice and it fired right up and has been fine ever since. Injectors are a little noisier than usual but am attributing it to cold weather. Could this be a classic case of gelled fuel or water in the system freezing ? I have been using them same station to fuel up since I bought the truck and have never had any problems. It has a high turnover rate. Thinking about addin some anti gelling additive, any suggestions? Truck is plugged into a timer for 5 hours beefore I leave.

Any suggestions or fixes for this problem is much appreciated.

Thanks Mike

that happens allot in cold weather

water in the fuel or fuel is gelled

run a good additive and the problem should go away

and always get fuel at places like Flying J or any place that sells allot of Diesel

Mike,I have been useing stanadyne performance formula in my truck since new. Living in Michigan the temps can get very cold and gelling can be a problem, very happy so far with the stanadyne. There are alot of other products on the market also, howes, power service, and so forth. coobie :D
