Archived Truck Made and Knock and wont crank

Showin my a&& off makin a little smoke with the tires that my buddies talked me into. I was spinning through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, and then as I eased it into 4th, the truck made a knock and cut off. I tried to crank it with the key, then dump the clutch and start it. Called my buddies and they pulled me back to the house. Now the truck wont crank and we cant figure out what it is. I hate to even ask this but is my injection pump shot? If not I need help quick.

Sounds like an injection pump to me... .

It will turn over and crank, but it will not start. The truck made a loud pop and it was as if the key got turned off and it cut off. Is there any way to check the injection pump to see if thats the culprit or not?

on the 24V engine and drivetrain that talks about testing a VP44 and ways to do it. Titled something like "Testing VP44"... I don't remember specifically. Good luck
