I have a spuratic issue while under load either puilling a trailer or getting on the highway with my pedal on the floor. I'll feel a miss/burp when the RPM's peak. Its happened twice in the past month. I don't get any codes on the odometer. I don't have an analyzer to plug in. I've heard could be the VP44, the CPS. Could it be anything else? I see an issue, not sure what it is but want to get in front of it now. Really don't want to pull the VP44 unless I have to.....

Seems to do it when shifting (automatic). The two times it happened, I was leaning on it. One other thing that happened I was using cruise control on a trip pulling a couple thousand pounds on the highway. The cruise kept cutting out. Not sure if its related.

My only experience with that has been when I was pushing it way too hard and the RPMs got up in the Red Line area.

Been too long ago now to remember the facts, but I did it again on purpose just to prove a point... It cut out at the same RPM each time, so I concluded I had pushed it to the RPM limiter set point.

As I rarely ever push it beyond 2600 rpm, it has never happened since. My normal mode is to run it up to 1950 rpm and set the cruise.

$4. 59 / gallon fuel keeps my foot light these days.
