Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Truck missing when on the throttle

When driving and i accelerate the truck seems to miss when the edge box is turned on and when it is all levels 1-5. When i turn the edge off the truck runs fine when accelerating. My fuel pressure is running from 15psi at wot and 25-28 and idle. Fuel filter was changed about 2000 miles ago. Truck does start hard in the summer after it has been ran and then shut off. I am thinking that it may be the injection pump but there are no other signs that are pointing towards the pump.

i may be wrong but that sounds like way too much pressure at idle, that could be the reason for the hards starts. as for the skip, make sure all your comp connections are good. ive also heard about faulty comp boxes, and that edge will usually replace/reprogram the module. im not sure if this is any help but, theres my . 02.

Run the Comp ground to the battery, it'll go away

not sure about idle have had pressure that high at idle seen no problems but only did it once or twice mostly 19 psi . just had the box problem clean all connections should fix it

As for the fuel system it is a holley blue pump running in line with the lift pump. I ahve talked to a few cummins mechanics and they say that the pressure is fine.

Mine is currently doing this as well. Have tracked it down to a possible MAP sensor. If the MAP sees the overboost it will tell the ECM and thus DE FUEL. Without the Edge box on, you may not see enough boost to send a Map code.
