My 95's name was Grizzly and my 05 is also Grizzly. I transferred the prestige licence plate from the 95 to the 05.

Lately my truck is called THE BEAST because it sounds like a bear coming out of hybernation on these cold michigan mornings Oo.

I've always had a weakness for naming machines. Don't know why, it just happens.

Seems like the good ones that stick around forever just become family. My '68 W250 was my daily driver for 10 years. It was grey therefore became "Grey Ghost". It wasn't very sneeky though.

My Jeep, who is resting in dry, salt free comfort out in the shed has been mine since 1980! My first legal street vehicle. He was only 4 years old and was showing signs of rust then. 254,000 miles later and he's still my "Jeeper". Not rusty anymore either! Good Lord, 26 years, I'm gettin' old!

My current Dodge is well... "Whistle Pig" like his older brother also grey and still not very sneeky!

The 2000 is either "Pearl", the previous owners' name, or "Moose". The Departed '89 was "The Silver Queen", after what I had thought was a name of an EMD F-unit Locomotive, but it turned out to be a breed of corn  .

Mine is called BULDOGG cause it loves to pull, personal plate says it too(had to spell it different cause the proper way was taken already. )The truth is i haul around with me my two American Bulldogs inside the canopy(Bailey+Wrigley)and thats how the name came to be.

The Punisher Cause she is one bad mamma jamma!!!! :-laf

My girlfriend always gives me heck cause I named my truck Punisher and I call it a "her" all the time

Back in high school, on of my friends had a '79 Ford F250 that was called "Farmer John's F**kwagon". He also had a '64 Plymouth Valiant called "The Blue Magoo". My old '83 Chevy K5 Blazer diesel was called "Stinky" by my then GF because it smelled like diesel fuel all the time(go figure).

Had a 65F250 that was called Smaug, for the dragon in the Rings trilogy - because it smoked so bad until it became roadkill and I rebuilt it.

No names for the 98 or 02.

The 04 was the "Blue Ox" for hauling firewood.

The 97 is either Jemima or my "tar baby" because I'm stuck with her now, i. e. after trading my 04 on her. Black Betty was already taken by CHarlan  . Hope this isn't misconstrued as being racist by the more PC folks amongst us

Got a story to tell on name calling as told to me

My grandfather always had a team of horses that he talk to and they did what he wanted. Then he got the bright idea he wanted a car and bought a model T. He got one driving lesson and driving It home was a real job for him. He called that T every name you could think of. I can't print them but that T had been called all of them. Every time he got the T out of the barn name calling would start. He even threaten to shoot It. One day he was going to bury It If It didn't straighten up. No one wanted to ride with him. When he went to town everyone got out of his way. Everyone knew him by the way he drove that T. There wasn't much that he did not hit or kill. When My dad left me the farm there was still parts of that ford hanging on the walls ofcoarse they were all bent up. Some are still hanging there and we will never remove them. In other words he was hell behind the wheel. This picture Is my Model T and we call her blue. She a 1911 Tourpedo Roadster Ford. I drive her a lot. The dually hauls her a lot out west for tours that we love to go on.

My wife calls mine "the Million Dollar Truck". And I haven't even started yet :-laf Without the transmission rebuild, I bet I don't have $3500 in it. I told her that regular maintenance costs don't count towards the final cost.
