DLoughery... Where do you get the parts for the conversion? I saw a site before that went under. Where did you get yours?

Long story. USA 6X6 did the axles and transfer case for the front rear end. I had a truck down there that they were supposed to convert but they went bankrupt in the middle of the project. I wound up with this one and we've been finishing it up this past winter. We ended up redoing a lot of it since it wasn't done correctly the first time around.

WOW - that is awesome!!

You never did answer "Why?" In my ignorance I don't understand what a 6x6 enables you to do. Is it traction in mud? Increased bed hauling capacity?

Thanks, It does enhance traction and could conceivably increase payload. We just did it for looks and to have something unique.

Nice truck, when will we see it in the Diesel mags? You must have some real boring winters where you live. I noticed the input for the front axle, offset from center, is it for the gearing, for the transfer of power to the output for the rear of that axle?

Thanks, I'm not sure about the magazines. I'm not sure how you would even go about that. We do plan on putting it in a few shows this summer. The axle is offset to keep the drive line angles within specs. We spent several weeks getting that tweaked. The power divider passes power through it to the rear axle and a chain drives the front axle. The chain is a heavy duty chain like you would find in a transfer case.

I was hoping to find time to go to May Madness, but if that truck shows up, I will make time from a busy schedule, from a 2nd home purchase in Las Vegas that I'm supposed to close on the first of may.

Take a few pics and send them to the diesel mags and they will be contacting you for sure!

Do the rear tires scrub much when turning? Probably not enough to notice huh?

That things real cool!

I'm sure it would get in our magazine if you bring it out to Pahrump.

There was a nice lifted up to the sky black 3rd gen for sale in the parking lot during the "show and shine" last year. I'm sure if you bring it to May Madness you will be on TDR mag quickly. I hope to see it there next week.

The bed is 10'8" long and the frame is stretched. The truck is about 27 ft long in total. The rear flares were made by USA 6X6. It takes about a parking spot and a half.

Thanks for the complement.

I'd like to make it out to Pahrump but I'm not going to make it. Too many work projects to get away. We do plan on doing some of the shows around Missouri this summer though. Might catch you at one of those.
